custom 300 steering wheel color

Is the steering wheel color on a Custom 300 supposed to match the dash color , or were all Black . Mine needs to be re-painted, someone has painted it an off color , but I have been told all custom 300 steering wheels were Black . What is correct?

My Custom was black.

Thanks , Mine needs to be stripped and it has a couple of small cracks I will fix and repaint.
