I have a brand new HEI distributor for a small block Ford, 260, 289, 302, 351W.  It came with the 302 Blue Print Engine I purchased but I decided to go with the stock Ford retro look for the car show circuit.  Brand new, never been run.  Even though the block is a 302, the firing order marked on the cap (13726548) is for a 351W because that's the cam they installed, if you have a 289/302 with a 289 or 302 cam, firing order should be (15426378).  The pigtail connection for the ignition hotwire & tac wire was purchased separately.   $75.00 plus shipping.

I have an old Accel dual point distributor collecting dust if you are interested.

the 351 distributor will not fit a 302

Maybe you're thinking of a 351 Cleveland, Cleveland's and Windsor's are completely different, but the only difference between a 351 Windsor and a 302 distributor is the firing order on the distributor, which is determined by the camshaft.

And Lynn thanks, but I already bought a Pertronix breakerless unit with a Flamethrower coil, looks dead stock from the outside.

   351 is taller than 302

LOL!!!   Ahhhh.......that's pretty funny!  what are you talking about???  Maybe you should talk to a friend that knows something about small block Ford engines!    Haha!!.....  You're probably thinking of a 350 chevy and a 409 chevy.....lol...

gasman826

Easy now!  Length is the same but shaft diameters can be different...requiring different gears.  Oil pump shafts can be different...1/4" and 5/16".

LOL?  All 350's, 409's and rat motors use the same dimension distributors !

351W block is 1" taller the 289/302. Thats why they also require a wider intake manifold.

A quick check of part numbers for same model year 351W and 302 distributors yields different part numbers from the same supplier.
