Jeff, loving how you still use your garage doing work on the 300 even though your precious Hotrods are parked next to each other. we don't want to hurt those pretty cars, but it doesn't hurt to look at them all the time either. :003:
My 34 is parked at my parents place over winter and I do miss it a lot.
That's one bad boy 57 Custom 300. Three5 street race lookers are cool but don't even come close to the agressive looks of a 57 Custom. looks like going a 100 while standing still.

I still deeply Love a traditional Hot Rod G...........always will...... but a 57 Ford is different car....I would never call mine a "Hot Rod".... but more of a "Modified production car"...... which deeply fascinates me.
Working around the other stuff can be tight..... but we will make it work!.... Thanks you!

Got the interior insulated.. I found a product which has the same qualities as Dynamat.... and 70% cheaper.. many locals swear by it....The wire loom is built and ready to go in.

Jeff.......can you please post the product information on this insulator material. I can't read the manufacturer, SKU etc. in the photo.
Thanks
John

Sure thing John
The Part #is 100901,stock code is BSDE
The website is www.dominionsureseal.com

There are 10 sheets of 8x20 in a pack, highly flexible and is a peel and stick application. You will need a wall paper roller to ensure a good fit.But very very easy to work with.Once it's down.... its down.It follows all the contours of a floor with all its indents and nooks and crannies.
I bought 5 packs at $40 bucks Canadian.... and in American $$$...30 percent less.... your about $32 bucks a pack.
To do the entire 57 I still need 2 more packs..... I am not doing the trunk.... but if i did, I would get an additional 3 packs just to be safe.
I have no idea what Dynamat costs down your way... but up here its about $400-$450 for a pack and it would not cover half of the interior of my 57.

Anyhow.... I need to buy 3 more packs just to be safe. The 5 packs I got did 80% of the entire interior of the 57........4 hours work time.Very easy.

I knew I was in trouble Bill after I posted that! lol!!!

Took the day off to go to a local indoor swap meet.... always nice to see your local gear heads and chew the fat with folks in your hobby you have not seen for a while..... lots of people, many vendors and the show had some very good deals
I scored a few good items and only spent about $150 bucks.
The Ranchero/wagon Bumper was in very good shape.. driver quality.... but the bumperettes were not anything I have ever seen from Ford.

Jeff you did great. I think what you got is a 58 Ranchero and SD only rear bumper.
the bumperettes look even better than the og 57 ones. I am sorry that bumper has wire holes in the wrong place ( under the bumperetts) so it's no good for a 57 sdn and you will have to drop that bumper at Jay's place for me asap.... :003: :002:

If you don't want those bumperettes, I'd buy them.

Gary.. you can have them... I have a few thing to search out for Jay...I will unbolt them and send them to you.
The quality is an ok state... but with your talent you can make them nice.

Thanx, my rear bumperettes on the CS are ok for a driver and I have another set for the Del Rio.
If I needed a pair, now I know where to ask !
That's still a great deal for your nice bumper and except for 2 little chrome plugs in those wire holes nobody will ever know. Always good to pick up bumpers by yourself, as shipping kills it all. I was happy to find fresh rechromed bumpers for the Ranch Wagon when I took it to the Long Beach swap meet.

Jeff Norwell

Yay!...My 428 it ready and done....very happy.... this will go into the other 57..the Texas car...backed by a wide ratio 4 speed top loader...
