I'm looking for the wiper electric motor for a 57 ford fairlane. If anyone has one please let me know. I know these vehicles came out with a vacuum motor, but I want an electric motor. Also I need horns for same vehicle.

1957 Chev wiper motors will bolt in.  I have 3 57's all with that motor.  Cable operated like stock just wire up

Yes, I believe 55-57 Chevy's came out with electric wiper motor. Thoses would fit the 57 Ford. If anyone has a spare one please let me know. I was also told that the 58 Fairlane would work.

Partsman

58 wipers fit inside the pass compartment and require some cutting and welding as the cowl is different.  Major work.  Also sometimes hard to locate.  As I said Chev motor bolts on only need wired very simple.

I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I bought a pair of new horns, one high pitch, one low. They sound like the original thing. Concours Auto Parts? Not sure, but they are available if you can't find used ones.

The only downside to the 55 Chevy wiper motor is you're still stuck with the cables.

Early to mid 60's T-Bird wiper motors work...straight bolt on. Then no reason to put that bow-tie stuff on your Blue Oval!

up to 59 Corvette is the same as well. got one 2 weeks ago.
I like the cable operated Ch*** wiper motor, as it keeps the og 57 cable operated switch and no further wiring needed under dash.

Birds went to power steering powered wipers in 63 through 65.  I know for sure that 61 & 62 Birds had arms not cables.  Just can't remember 100% if they would swap, don't think so....

Don't know about the 58 - 60 Birds, might be good.  I do know for sure the 60 Ford under dash unit bolted up to the firewall on my Ranch wagon.  Needs to have bushings put in the mounting holes of the plate.

I might be wrong on the year, I'll have to check the part number on mine...I just remember taking it off a 'Bird back in the day to put on my Courier...and trash the highly annoying vacuum motor! UGH!!!
