I'm installing an Electronic Ignition Module on my '57 Fairlane (292 CID)-- Currently, there is a 1.4 ohm resistor between the 'hot' wire from the ignition switch and the positive + side of the coil--  The instructions, for the new electronic module, state "a 1.4 ohm resistor should be placed between the red positive + side of the module and the positive + side of the coil"--
Question:  Can I run the red wire of the electronic module through the same resistor or do I need a separate one ?
Thanks,
GUY

what voltage does your kit want at the coil and at the module?

Ranchero--
A local mechanic answered my question (both components CAN be run through the same resistor)--
I wired as he suggested-- The engine starts & runs fine--
Thanks for your concern--
