Jeff from the Hamb/52-59 ford social club posted this link from Hotrod magazine on installing the Borgensen Power steering box, Since the pictorial is on a '57 Fairlane, I copied it here. Any forum member here's car?? Tacoma was the location of the shop doing the install.

I put one of these in my car and the pictures here tell the story well.  The one thing that they don't mention is that you can hear some noise coming up the solid steering shaft.  A rag joint would help, but with the automatic transmission linkage mounting to the outer tube, there is no room for it.  I made a brass bushing to insert into my tube and then put in two screws from the outside to hold it in place.  Their solution is just as easy to make.

My old steering box was so worn that I don't think I ever turned the front wheels lock to lock, now, it's much easier to park.

Street Rodder just ran the same article along with another article detailing door stretching on a custom Ranch Wagon.

So much for paying for multiple magazines from the same publisher.  For several years, I've re-read the same article in more than one magazine.  I may forget things but this is not sliding by unnoticed.  My herd of subscriptions is going to get thinned!!
