Anybody know which manufacturer this is from? I believe it's American but I don't recognise the symbol?
Hudson?
Interesting ..the Speedo is a reversed model...... Maybe if you messaged Bob's Speedo in Michigan or even classic they could narrow it down Gary.... they are very cool units.
They would be awesome restored!
I first looked at this and I thought Miles was the name of the manufacturer!!!! :iamwithstupid: If the other gauge is pressure then it must be in Bars??? which makes it likely to be British??? Oh yeah and where is the "per hour" on the speedo......
Hmmmmm, didn't think of the pressure being in bar. The reason I assumed US was the word "gasoline" on the fuel gauge, over here it's always "fuel" or "petrol".
Reason I mentioned Hudson is below the "miles" there's an emblem of a bullet or plane going through a circle, I thought Hudson had something along that line.
Thanks everyone, turned out it's from an Opel from the 1930's, so German, not American as we first thought.
was thinking Opel right from the start. that is the German Zeppelin airship logo. back than it was called the Opel Blitz (lightning) can't believe they made miles speedos. not so cool of a times back then.
still a very rare and cool piece of automotive history.
Opel built the first rocket powered dragster bikes in the 1910s
