Sounds awesome. LOL..that Bob guy sure gets around doesn't he?
While I was looking at that video, I spotted this one. I had seen it on ebay last year for I can't remember how much ungodly sums of money, and from the dozen pics, I thought nice, but??,,,check this video, this car has no expenses spared executiuon all over it. hint: the sliding bar at the bottom of the video will let you advance frame by frame if you want a really good look at something. For me, this car just pushed Bob Burgdoff's into second place. Most awesome radical '57 I've seen with the countless flawless subtle mods. That interior is absolutly incredible, but how they modified the dash bringing the original dash configuration up to contemporary is outstanding. If anybody sees anything on this car that wasn't executed flawlessly, let me know cause I sure missed it.

I am not a fan of the Fairlane rear quarter panels...I favor the rear sections of Custom, wagons, Ranchero...but this Fairlane you posted is incredible!

The money and time spent has to be off the charts. Details, details...wow.

Have felt this way forever glad to know I'm not the only one. Believe a lot of that Fairlane "flash" was done to accent the Retractable which needed a longer body to accommodate it. That being said that is one killer car. Tires and floormats showed enough wear to designate it a driver, even if only on special occasions.

The Retractable was the same length as the 500s, they look longer because of the roof lines.  There was a discussion about this before here......  http://57fordsforever.com/smf/index.php?topic=2146.15  .....

The Fairlane in the U-Tube video parked next to me at the Knott's show this year and was also at the Edelbrock show a few weeks later.  I took some photos at both shows, they are attached for your viewing pleasure.  His mean sounding 428 Cobra Jet powered Fairlane is the one that has one of the Edelbrock cross ram dual quad intake manifolds.  I know these cross ram manifolds aren't supposed to be better than the in-line ones, but is sure didn't hurt the mean sounds of his motor at idle. lol
