Trying to locate an underhood insulation kit for a 57 custom.dont know if it was available when new or not.tried several places with no luck.

Underhood insulation was not factory installed on 57 Fords. I can not see a plus in trying to keep heat in a engine compartment.
Lots and lots of cars have factory installed under hood insulation.it makes a neat finishing touch in my opinion.yours just happens to be different from mine.
Appearance was not my point. Flatheads, Y-Blocks, and FEs run hot, I would think that underhood insulation would add to that in warm weather, but I'm always interested in another point of view.
