Title: One that got away
Post by: Marc on 2016-07-06 14:53
I came across some pics of an old Del Rio wagon I owned in 85. What a great car it was. The body was solid, every piece of glass was cracked, the interior was thrashed, and the wiring was a tangled nightmare of fried wires and splices. I had to jump the solenoid with a pair of pliers to start it. The 292 ran liked a raped ape though.

Wish I'd known wagons would become so popular. I bought the thing off a used car lot for $500. The following year I picked up my custom 300, which was in wayyyyy better shape so I loaned the wagon to a friend who needed wheels. When my hitch was up and I was preparing to move back east, I opted to keep the sedan just because it needed a lot less work and let my friend keep the wagon. He ended up selling it for peanuts when he was deployed to England.
