Detent to convert 2 speed to C-6?

My son wants to retain the 59 steering column shifter to operate the C-6 we put in. Does anyone know the part number for the 3 speed detent or better yet have a good used one? Thats the piece the shift handle clicks into for P R N D L. Basic number is 7A216 Thanks

The detents on a C6 are in the trans. Mine works fine.

Are you using the column shift linkage from a 2 speed?

You can grind another notch in the column detent on the column.  That will make it move a little a little further for the 1st gear notch.

I'm using the orig auto shifter. After som adjustment on the column add a extra dot on inddicator
