Tom, If I had known about this issue with the caster before I had completely rebuilt my front end I would have taken a different approach. If and thats a BIG IF I did it again I would mill off some material on the upper A frame pivot arm pads where the shims go. But I'm reaching a point in time where I'm not sure I would tackle it now.

I hear ya! These Granada spindles just ain't right.
I don't know but kind of doubt that we could get enough castor by milling the a-arm pads.  I'd thought that modifying the the upper a-arms might be the way to go & sure enough found that
Gary, aka 'gasman826' had done just what I'd had in mind. Cool!  That gave me hope but I wouldn't try it unless I had a spare set of upper a-arms. Those are basically unobtainium  around here.

Another method that might help is mentioned here a couple times. Use '58 bushings or complete '58 upper a-arms & turn their screw in bushings toward the rear to get more caster.

Screw them toward the FRONT to get more caster!!!---I was able to gain about 1 degree--not earth shattering but every little bit helps--A little NEGATIVE camber helps cornering (a lot of race cars may have 2.5 negative camber or even more)---excessive camber can wear your tire faster---Most of these old big cars were about zero on camber and caster---make steering effort easier but not really conducive to aggressive driving---Modern Mustang has 10 degrees castor but it has power steering as well---My F150 was set at 7 degrees castor from factory-no adjustment availabe---but again power steering/
