One of my rear shackle hangers snapped off at the rivets.  Does anyone have one they would be willing to part with?

I have a couple off a 61 Ford. If they'll work you can have them for the shipping.

I have one I am pretty sure, will PM you when I put my hands on it.

Thanks.  I am not sure if 61 is the same.  Here is a picture of the broken one:

Leaf is wider on a '61.

Main leaf and second leaf bent in the picture.

I had two of these saved for near ten years because someone would need one.  I wouldn't have a clue where to look.

The springs had been dearched. I will be replacing them soon as it is a real tail dragger. This is one of many goofball things I discovered on this poor old gal.

To get by for now and maybe forever there are lots of high strength rods out there.  I'm thinking 11018 and a knowledgeable welder.

It would be also pretty easy to fab something up from flat bar or square tube. Do the other side while your at it.

I wonder how that could happen. it appears that the springs were dearched by bending the upper 2 leaves. of course this would prohibit movement between leaves and possibly bind  the spring causing awful hard shocks to the rear hanger. maybe there was also some heat or welding done to the hanger itself. usually these are spring steel quality. never have seen one break before.
