Title: Easiest way to remove bodymounts
Post by: LuckyPete on 2009-07-06 12:02
I'm trying to get some help for my total restojob on my '57 fairlane 500. I've disassembled everything on the body and now it's time to seperate it from the chassis to get it to my friend for some major metal restoration. Need special tools? Any advice (besides spraying some WD-40 :002:) welcome.

greets, Piet

I had to grind the heads off the bolts. When you disassemble the mounts really pay attention to the way they go together the new kits are generic.Campy-ranchero57

My last ones were in such bad shape, I had to torch them off.  Like Cmpy said, pay attention to how the two halves come apart, as most of the instructions that come with the new ones are generic, not really detailed.
