Considering swapping a 390 into the '57. I've read some of the older posts here about this and I want to make sure about a few things before I get into it.
The car has a T85 3-speed OD which I'd like to keep. Will the 390 bolt up to it or will I need an adapter, or a specific bellhousing?
Is there a certain oil pan that must be used?
What's a good intake to use? The engine will probably be stock or pretty close to it.

A fe stick bellhousing is all you need. The front sump pan (fe) fits fine.
I hate blocksanding!

very easy swap, any aftermarket alum. intake will work fine. use 58 ford 332 motor mounts. hope this helps Tom
