the two steel slotted bars are 3/4 x 1 1/2 milling machine table clamps. They are also the same bars I used with the all-thread to ease down my front coil springs after undoing the spindle/ball joints. The two short slotted screws are actually from a cheap set of hood pins I bought at a swap meet for $5. Hardware store eye bolts would have worked as well. After spreading, I sandblasted and primed...painted the next day and let it sit for 3 days to dry thoroughly before I let it close up, then did the proccess all over on the next one. These are my hood springs. oops...trunk springs
