Rear Quarter Stainless shields

Guys,
   A buddy of mine picked up a set of stainless rear quarter fender shields for a 1957 Ford. They've never been used. It's sort of like the ones used on the 59 Galaxie only its smoother and less ribs. I bought a set in 1968 from JC Whitney to cover up some small holes on a 57 I had a short time. That's the last time I've even seen a set. Does anyone remember them and is something like that worth a lot. Jim

I used to see them at local swapmeets, good used sets were in the $100 to $200 range, but a NOS set I would say would bring $300 maybe more. From my own experence it appears that 50s parts have dried up, even Ebay seems to have a lot less 57 parts lately.

I'll get some pictures. Like I said, the last set I saw was the ones I bought in 68. I thought with hockey sticks and rocker moldings they'd probably look real "snazzy".
