Title: Funny thing last night....
Post by: F570RD on 2012-05-12 11:57
with having the car out.Been sitting for a month with the slicks on.They were pumped up to near 30#.Went down the alley and turned right.Went straight for a few feet and noticed a slight vibe.Got worse as I got up to 20mph.Made it down to the next turn to the left and I thought the car was disassembling its self. The shake was unbelievable.Made it to the shop of an old friend and had a look under it to see anything obvious.Sat and talked for a while and we started to laugh as we came to a thought that the flat spots on the slicks when you have a Detroit Locker can come out of faze and what was needed was to do a couple of hard burnouts to stretch the tires.Problem fixed and had a good time do'n it...lol.I've had a spool in the car for years and the flat spots would just bounce the car until they re found themselves.
