I still tell everyone there's a warmed over Y-block under the hood.
Side view.
That is a fine looking Custom. What does it have in it? FE?
Thanks. It's a 69 460 with some bolt-on's and a bit of head work. Trans is a c-6 with 3.70 detroit locker rear end. These things scream for an FE but there getting harder to get parts for.

Also the price of the FE parts you can find.
That' a big FE :003:
Nice part about 429-460 is there tons of parts in the aftermarket or original, I've got a couple spares just in case. Try finding a 427 block that doesn't have at least 2 sleeves in it.
460s...had a even dozen...trimmed it down to nine...would like to sell a few more.
Nice car!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWcgvB1sHts&list=UU2F0Gjq7qUuCaXSrZEqD_fA&index=8&feature=plcp At the 11 minute mark is my 57 with a very tame 460 and 3.70 gears. This one is 300 hp and 500 pft.Good luck with your sale!
Looks like you drilled him at the start. The video ended before your e.t. came up, so what did it run? I ain't sellin it ! this one's a keeper !
It ran a 13.40@99mph.The 60ft was 1.80.The car weight is a scant 4050 with driver. The runs I made were all slower than the competitor but I got there first every time.Pretty cool race in that in was to be a period correct event and was for the most part.
I do like it with the steelies and SS wheels....looks great! Too bad they cut off the run before you see the end...
