Couldn't find the thread where some members were talking about rumored 352's in late '57's.
Interestingly enough I just found several references in the service bulletins to both 302's and 332's. They however were in trucks. No motor info given, so I don't know if the truck motors were variations of the Y-block, or beginnings of the fe's introduced in the passenger cars in '58.

Rich, the 302 332 are truck motors based off the Lincoln Y-Block Lincolns were 317-341-368 C.I. Totaly different motor

Yeah, the first year. I had a 352 in a '58 Fairlane. As Tom explained, your 332 was not the same as the 332 used in '57 pickups. Now I'm wondering if that '57 truck Lincoln based version of the 332 was also used in '58 trucks, meaning that they would have had a 332 Y block and a 332 FE that year.?

FE's didn't go into small trucks F100-250 until 1965. I'm not sure what the larger trucks had..

Only engines I'm aware of in 57 Ford pickups were the 223 inline 6 and the 272 y-block. In 58 you got the 292 and a 312 was never ever offered in
any pickup. Couldn't get an FE in a truck until 65 which was 352.
