I have 14' cragers,new tires.I rather not change spindles.Dearborn ford [ore] and Drop/stop both say they have kit's to fit.These kits have to change spindles?Any feed back?
NOPE
I believe one of the rod and custom type mags showed a kit that was basically a bracket you use to convert original spindles to disc. I believe it was actually on a 55-57 T-Bird but should be the same.
There is a company out there that uses brackets that will work on 57's, you keep your original spindles. Do a Google search on brake conversions for 57 Fords, I think it was Jamco or Abs brakes but I know I've seen them.
Jamco has a kit;

Do the rotors on these kit allow the use of old style 15" steel wheels? ie. is the hub on rotor larger or small?
