Title: fender to firewall atachment

needing help on my 1957 ranchero, the fender to firewall bolts were spot welded to the firewall no nuts in the firewall can anyone tell me what type of nut or clip goes there or a picture would help,

The visible one on the cowl that is close to the hood bumper is a square caged nut that snap fits into the rectangular hole. My guess is it's a 5/16 24 as are the fender's flanged bolts.
The top rear location that you can't see when the door is closed is just a 1/4" (?) sheet metal screw. I think originally it may have been a size 14 screw, but that hole wears big over the years, so I just upsized to the 1/4". Size 14 sheet metal screws are a little hard to find, but a good hardware store should have them.There is nothing on the pillar (no nut, etc,), just the hole.

It is a 5/16 X 24.
