Title: For Mom
Post by: lalessi1 on 2017-06-08 11:15
When I was 13 years old I was building model airplanes and had a passing interest in cars. My mother, a single parent with 4 kids had just been given a 57 Ford by my grandmother who bought the car new. In conversation my mom mentioned that the car had a Thunderbird V8. I was very doubtful of her actual knowledge about the car so she popped the hood and SHOWED me. I was blown away and my love affair with 57 Fords began. From that day forward I crawled over, under, around, and through that car learning as much as I could about cars. My mom gave me that car when I graduated from high school. She passed in 1994.

Steve (Custom_Shelby) gave me a pair of valve cover decals, and I put them on a pair of baldy FE valve covers.

For Mom....
