Anyone have a good referral on a person/shop that can rebuild our 292 in the L.A. Area? Also want to upgrade it to get more power. Cam, head work, etc.
Anyone can restore a classic car, but it takes a real hot rodder to cut one up and make it cool.

One of the best in the US is in El Cajon, but that may not be local enough for you.  His name is John Mummert.  You can link to him on the Y-blocksforever.com site.  John

HotRod, You can try  MCE-Engines they're in L.A. they've built engines for several hotrod magazines, I think the last one was in Popular Hot Rodding. They've been in the business for a long time and have tons of experience. Like John Mummert they're not cheap but your getting a engine specialist, but give them a call and see what they can do for you!  Marvin McAfee (323)731-0462 or MCEENGINES@AOL.COM. I talked to all three of them at Knotts Fab.Ford event this year and they have tons of stories they can tell about their racing careers and general automotive experiences it was way kool! Once you start talking to them it's like B.S.n with your buddy in the garage. SKIP

If it is who I think, the Mcafee has a great rep in road racing. Thanks for the lead!
