Title: Brake pedal spring bushing
Post by: CDN.SD on 2010-05-29 21:17
Rather than forking over $23.00 for one of these, you can make your own in a couple of minutes from an old rattle can lid. (The type with the inner and outer tube.)

Just use an x-acto knife to cut a hole in the top flush with the I.D. of the inner tube, and scissors to cut away the remainder of the lid, leaving about a quarter inch lip.

There's probably some variation on the different brands of lids, but the one I made seemed to fit perfectly.

You even get your choice of colors! :002:

I just checked there, and it looks to me like the brake pedal spring bushing P/N B5A-2481-A that I'm referring to is $27.95 from them, not $2.95. That's even more $ than MAC's

my mistake...I didn't read the "spring" bushing in your topic title. I was looking at the bushings for the shafts to brackets on page 58 (1.95 ea)
