Are 1957 Ford Rancheros titled and registered as cars or trucks?
Thank you for any and all replies.

Jay that may depend on the state, here in Calif they are considered trucks and we get screwed paying for commercial tags. And I get double screwed because my 60 Panel has to have commercial tags also  :005:

Of all the Rancheros Iv'e ever owned they have always been insured as trucks.

I had an old Bronco years ago and went to insure it and the lady behind the counter asked if it had a back seat. I said yes it did so it could be insured as a station wagon or if I removed the back seat it could insured as a utility vehicle or truck. That was more than 40 years ago trough.

Never paid attention, here in AL light trucks, SUVs and passenger cars are the same tag wise.  The registration slip only has 2016 Ford,  F150, S-Cab, color and the VIN, same exact info blocks for the cars.......

Thank all of you for taking the time to answer that question-for me.  This is the place to go to ask 57 Ford questions.
