Title: Ford/Edsel/Ranchero/Country Sedan HYBRID
Post by: kens65fb on 2013-04-26 08:29
This very different vehicle was for sale at Spring Carlisle.
No asking price was posted, just a cell number
The workmanship was not great, but the concept was interesting
What do you think

A crew cab Ranc...ah, Edselero. Interesting, and definetly not as bad as one might think trying to get a mental picture from a discription. I like the front end look with the scoop and the black stripe, I think if the side stripes were deleted it would look much better..just not a good flow on them.
I never understood the concept of the Avalanche, so the question on this one for me would be the same..why? Once again though..not bad..jmho.

Tom S

You have been kinda quiet these days.

I hope that you are not thinking of doing something like this.

Someone did put a lot of thought and work into this one though.  So I'll give him credit for the fact that he completed it.  There are so many projects that get started , cut up , and never finished.

Not a chance.  At this rate I'll be lucky to get half of what I want accomplished done.  The more I see of this car the worse it is.  Lowered expectations.   :'(
That guy apparently started with a wagon anyway.

I agree that it looks like he started with a wagon.

A Wagchero, looks like something I would have built with a plastic model back in my teen years  :003:. I give the guy credit for originality and actually completing it.

I've thought of doing that back window treatment on a few pickups in the past. Was getting really tempted to do it to my Ranger p'up with an Explorer hatch. Everything available in my driveway. Guessing the Ranger was saved as it went to my son-in-law who needed an affordable set of wheels after putting his into a bridge piling on an icy night. Ford used to do crank down windows in trucks back in the 30s and now Toyota has revived that idea.

I thought of trying to adapt the mercury power rear window onto the 57 ranchero, that would be cool :walk:
