So I don't have a door plate with the vin on it.
I swear it's on the frame maybe?

But I don't see it.

I have a '58 Edsel Pacer.
Thank you,

Justin

Same place as 1957 Ford, on the side of the right frame rail, just a head of the front body mount. If your car is a original vehicle you might want to look behind the glove box for a build slip.

Passenger side top of frame rail right below the heater box. the other two are towards the rear and are covered by the body, cant really see them. That is for a 57 Ford, Edsels might be the same?

The build slip for my Pacer was behind the side of the dash just forward of that long screw on the drivers side.

Like others have said, should be stamped into the top of the passenger side frame rail, between the firewall and upper control arm. The stamping is not really large or deep, so some scraping and wire brushing of the area may be required to find the VIN, but it should be there.

Nice find on the build sheet. I searched and searched for mine in the 58 Villager I had and came up empty. I did find the one for my Mustang, actually two of them under passenger side front carpet.

My build sheet was stapled to the back of the right door panel.

My opinion is that they put those build tags wherever they felt like putting them.  We found one on the inside of the driver's door panel.

Its towards the very outer edge, I actually cleaned mine out for inspection a few weeks ago. I would say it close to the inner fender sheetmetal than you would think.

Once you get your verification or title, you can get a replacement door tag here. You may have to check if the Edsel tag is different from the Ford Fairlane tag.
