I finally have to admit that I'm an old man.

Your uncle was absolutely correct, "just felt better." It's really strange just a couple of years makes quite a difference as the joints wear down or out. Attached are a couple of photos of my other lifelong love (57 AGIN before the refurbish & me on a small wave in the winter a couple of years back).

Gasman, I'm scheduled into see an ortho specialist on the 12th of June.  5 years ago the MRI's he reviewed told him that I wasn't a good candidate at that time.  As then I could still do most of what I enjoy with just a little pain, now it is painful just about all the time (not excruciating, just a pain that doesn't go away).

Cool it was.  I wear a wet suit year round here in So Cal, during the summer mostly to hide my knee braces.  During the winter I wear a full suit, complete with booties, because the water is below 60 degrees and it curls my toes.As a kid when I started surfing, the wet suit industry was in its infancy, now except in Hawaii, a wet suit is mandatory to keep what little body heat I have remaining inside me.

Thank God my 57's 351W keeps me plenty warm.
