Well.. that a little attempt at humour pointed towards petew .. hope he got it.
I have not been active on this board due to the thrashing on a car that is near completion, so I will post here in this section.Thank you James.
7 years ago i purchase one beat to heck un chopped 32 Ford 5 window. In the last year we have been on the crunch to finish. One of my best friends Neil Candy has helped me with the car.
I won't go throughout the entire long drawn out story but you will see our work.
Some of you will know the build, some will not.
I am a certified EARLY hemi nut.
Neil lives 6 hours away and when I could i was down at his shop cutting, scratching, banging and just helping to get this together.
Some of the details are a blown Baby Red Ram 54 Dodge Hemi,QC rear,Sprint car steering. The body was un cut and I like it that way.The goal was to produce a early 60's hotrod.
Paint is a custom Rootbeer with a mini gold flake and butter cream white accents.
We are nearly finished and trying to finish up for the Autorama in Detroit.

God help me.

The frame started along time ago

It was rough?

But we carried on.

Yeah, yeah I got it. After 33 years of police work I surely don't have thin skin and enjoy a little lively ball breaking !

This is my little hot rod, a steel 27 T with a hopped up 29 A motor , watch out Norwell I have about 80-90 horsepower here and just might blow the paint off that little girl powered deuce ...

Jeff Norwell

HA HA HA petew!
Thanks very much Bill!

petew,PLEASE don't tell me you love them lawnmower engines called a flathead?

Detroit...upstairs or downstairs?

like the copper plating...I had a plating guy suffering dementia...he plated some stuff without the nickel...polished the copper.  It wasn't what I wanted for my project but it had a super look for the right color.  Looks great with root beer!!!!

RICH MUISE

Really really cool...lol...Nice work Jeff. I like the fact you didn't chop it. Mark my words...so many are being chopped, one day we'll see a line of replacement roofs for most of the popular-to-chop models. great color...what are plans for the interior?
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I will most likely take heat for this, but Upstairs,All the cool kids go downstairs ha ha.
The copper plating was a suggestion from my pal Neil, who hand formed the cowl steering cover.

Jeff , I like everything but tend to love first generation overheads like the Y blocks. What I really love is anything different, hot rods with belly button 350 chevy engine and 350 trans are unimaginative.

The A motor in my rod is a fun piece but they cost stupid money to build,
