Hood Release cable routing

Does anyone have any good pictures of how the hood release cable and bracket are mounted under the dash and how they route out the Firewall? I went to install one I pulled off a car in the junkyard (so I know the length woks, but in my car it seems too short, so I am likely not correct in how I mounted it. Appreciate any help guys.

Thank you Lynn, helped refresh my memory. Turns out I had the interior bracket the wrong direction (sticking too far into the car).
