In response to a few requests I have posted a few photo's of my project under gallery / under construction. I have a lot of photo's but have only loaded a few key ones. It is a 1957 Country Sedan, came to New Zealand a couple of years ago to a car restorer who was going to do it up as his work wagon. I managed to pursuade him to sell it to me. The only rust issues of significance were the RH rear floor. I ended up replacing both front floor panels as well just to tidy it up. There is a guy here in NZ who specialises in parts for 57/58 fords so parts are no problem, plus what I can bring in myself.
We started by stripping the body and taking it off the chassis. Both have been media blased. The body and panels were epoxyed and sent to panel beater. We (2 sons and mate) have paited and rekitted the chassis, added disk brakes, lowered rear by 2". Still settling on exact configuration of the front end height etc.
Body is now (today) in the paint shop for final finishing and painting.
waiting in our worksop is a new 351w crate engine, with C4 mounted.
Hope to have it finished by mid January for Americarna her in New plymouth, New Zealand.

Looks like you're doing a nice job on it. Keep us posted. Is it going to be Salmon & white?

still undecided on color, too many opinions. We have to make some final decisions in the next week or so. Painters are going to do a couple of samples. Colors in the the photographs are the epoxy. I think probably it will be light Blue and white.
This website has been great in solving problems and formulating plans. It would appear that we all face the same problems and decisions.
Thanks.
Nice project car, looks pretty solid. Mark
The primer color is why I thought Salmon and White. :003:
NICE CAR IT WOULD LOOK GREAT STARMIST BLUE AND COLONIAL WHITE.
Thanks for that, have to make a final decision any time now, will be blue and white though. Was going to go with a yellow white but have changed our mind. Will post more phots as it comes together.

Panel and paint finished, engine and gearbox fitted, Brake lines in place. Body on chassis. Will start putting it together after Christmas, starting with Dynamat all around. Target is still Americarna in late February.
