292 Rear Main Seal Retainer Bolts

I am trying to remove the rear main seal retainer on my 292. I think the head of the two bolts have a design that I have not encountered before. Is there a special socket for them?

A 3/8" twelve point socket fits. There is a metric socket that also will work, I think it is 11 mm twelve point.
