Hi, new to the board and am working on a 54 instead of a 57. But looking for an updated air cleaner for mine. I believe the one I?m looking for is the 292, has the word FRONT facing straight ahead toward the front of the car and the snorkel is facing to the driver side in the direction of the left front tire. Can anybody offer any help? Thanks, Tony
Tony, what carburetor are you running on your '54? If the original 2 barrel, the neck is something like 2 5/8" diameter. '57s have a 5 1/8" hole where it fits the carb. Would need some adapting to fit the early carb. John
It?s actually a 750 Holley 4 bbl. The opening is about 5?.
All 57 up V-8 air cleaners should work.
