Afternoon,
Anybody know the correct front brake hose length off hand for the standard stock drum setup?  I have aprox 15" on the pass and 17" on the drivers now.   Probably didnt roll out the factory like that.

17 or 19 inch was for the rear brakes, 15 in front.  I just put a wilwood disk brake kit on and it recommended a 18in length in front.  Seems slightly long but I think anything from 15-18 inches would be fine, just double check for interference with wheels turned to both extremes and you should be fine.

Thanks,
The local parts place had a couple that were 15.5".   Went ahead and pulled the trigger on those.

I also had this paper thin gasket type thing come off the back of the backing plate as i was knocking the grime loose.   It was between the backing plate and the spindle arm.  Does it have a name and do i need to put something similar back?

The part is a B7A 2044-A and it is called a backing plate to spindle gasket.  I have only found them at one place,  Try this URL for the supplier.  https://www.mustangsetc.com/1957-1972-full-size-ford-front-drum-brake-backing-plate-gaskets-pair/  They are also the only supplier that has that lock ring for the front wheel cylinder.  I bought extras of both since those are two parts that I can't find anyplace else.  Dan

Dang, ...a day late and dollar short.   The lock rings just showed up.

Thanks for the info.
