What is the best shocks to use on a 57 ford ( custom 300 ) ? Do most of you go back with new original shocks, or is there a good proformance shock,( gas, coil over, etc )  that works better ? Brand, part number would be helpful,Thanks,Tarheel57 :unitedstates:

Gabriel gas charged shocks for the front, part 82099, available from most of the parts stores.
Rears are 81270.  I've used both of these.  Last time around I made the mistake of putting on a set of 90/10 Comp Engineering drag shocks.  They worked good at the track, ok on the street, but you couldnt go fast into a turn.  Then also I had 15x3.5 on the front too...The Gabriels or Monroe equivalents are really the way to go if you drive  your car.
