Gen Light / Battery drain ???

OK, I need a bit of advice about a generator electrical system.
My generator light stays on when the car is running.
I put a  meter on the voltage regulator, Gen output and ground, and the generator is putting out/charging.
There are no issues driving, ignition, lights, etc.
When the car sits in the garage for more than a couple of days, the battery is dead, I can charge it up, and go and everything works as it should, except the Gen light stays on. I have a battery disconnect and have been shutting it off to keep the battery from going dead but Id like to fix it correctly.
Any ideas on trouble shooting?
Thanks

Kenny

I am not at home with my shop manual but I am pretty sure you have one of the relays stuck on the voltage regulator.  That's were I would check first.

Yes, pull the cover off the regulator and see if any of the regulator points are stuck together.
