that is true, Hugh. I hate to throw away or replace stuff that still can be repaired or reused. It's not allways about availability of parts or money. I like to think how stuff they made back then was so great that most of it still works 64 years later. that is just incredible and a main drive in the hobby for me. I love the old stuff.

I wish I had the experience you do...had I not taken 40 years off from cars and the automotive world...I would be much more aggressive about doing things I am sure. As it is...I am slow and cautious...and admire what you do.
I am going to take a welding class this March...actually two of them. And that alone will move me much further along from where I am now. I am at the point on 2 cars where I really need to be able to weld much better than I do...so those will be a huge benefit for me.
