Yep, I can do without a resurgence of the boots fad, but Mini skirts never should have left in the first place.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

The Bonneville pic is sooooo artistic.
I've always  loved anything to do with Bonneville racing stuff.
Near the end of a day at Bonneville in 1979 I took this pic of Ermie Immerso's beautiful streamliner, the Thunderbird. It was turbine powered in this pic.
In 1962 it was powered by four Ford 406 engines followed in 1963 by four 427s & topped 300 mph.
The way the sun's rays streamed thru the clouds was something I hadn't really noticed until after I got the pix developed. I think that made it a pretty neat pic.
This was the last time I saw this car. I later learned that this beautiful veteran streamliner had crashed at this meet & had been nearly totally destroyed. :(

Great shots, went there in 92, couldn't believe it. Are the b/w shots taken at a different time than your great color pic?

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Yes, those are old pix that I found on the net.  Note the Ford FE engines.
This car has had many different engines & combinations of engines. The last was the turbine power.
I went to Bonneville in 1979 & 1981. Met & talked with several of the famous racers that I'd read about for decades. Made friends with & helped a couple two man teams work on their cars. One car was a beautiful belly tank Lakester that was jewel like.  They made the Two Club! I was in hog heaven.  I have over 100 slide pix.
