When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

IMHO, this about as cool as it ever gets with a 57 (Fairlane) Kustom.
the spaced out taillight chrome bezels give the illusion of tunneled taillights. Incredibly simple but effective idea.
loving the panel paint/scallops along the fins.

So...wonder where you can find such a thing? I agree with you 100%...I have never seen them before...but I would like to see them again...on mine I think. (yea...I know...copy cat...but been awhile since he did it...and probably isn't even around anymore to see me steal his idea! LOL!!!)

That '28/'29 roadster in post 2030 is a beaut.  The bodywork reminds me of some of the fast & fine looking roadsters I saw at Bonneville in 1979 & 1981. I took hundreds of slide pix at  those two Speedweeks.  I need to get them converted to digital pix.

no big issue Hugh. you would just need a second set of taillight lenses to cut the outer reflector ring from and bring that out level to the ridge on the taillight lense. some plastic spacers and longer screws will now fasten the reflector ring and chrome ring further out.

I can't really tell from the pic but I thought it was just that the chrome ring was spaced out from the lens.
You could probably space the ring out with some polished stainless tubing & long screws.  I have found repo chrome rings on ebay. They don't fit original lenses unless they came with the chrome rings but will fit at least one repo lens.  Don't know exactly what or where that lens came from though. Might be able to find where I got it on ebay if anyone cares.

Okay..I have some extra lenses...and a couple of broken rings extra as well. I wil experiment and see how that works. Thanks for the tip sir!

Tom...I would be interested in a lead if you have one. I think I am going to experiment a bit. Thanks for then lead. Between your idea and Gunther's...I am sure I can replicate it. Thank you sir.
