When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Oh my! Rather ostentatious looking thing! BUT...imagine what it would be worth today were it still around! YIKES!   :005:

Ford Blue blood

It is still around.  An acquaintance of mine restored it and sold it, don't remember how much it went for but it was a sizable number.

Good...most of those concept cars were crushed. I would like to see it (and other concept cars). Have always though they were neat to look at. Samples of how the designers "flexed" their brains if you will.

Like this one for instance. I shot this in Nashville in '04 When we went to the 45th Anniversary show for the Mustang.

these cars were actual test beds for mechanical and design ideas.
Boys, take a close look at the 1954 Mercury concept car. we can see a lot of ideas that made it into prouction later:

1955 T bird hood scoop
1957 Lincoln hooded headlights
1957 Mercury grille layout
1960 Starliner rear roof line (c posts)
1957 Ford wraparound windshield and chrome trim

It is still around, look at the vehicle in the background as well as the booths. That picture was taken at the 2012  Chicago Auto Show.

Also, the rear reminds me of the Studebaker hawk's trunk.
