Yes sir, Daytona. 1957
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

The beach photo is fantastic. Are cars still allowed to drive on the beach or is that against the law?  I could see in the 50's with road draft tubes and dripping oil but in this day and age new cars are sealed up pretty tight.

I wondered the same thing.  Was there in 1966. Google Earth 2018 image shows lots of cars lined up & parked along the back of the beach & some driving along. Guess it's still a go.
Look near Silver beach Ave Daytona Beach on Google Earth or maybe Google maps.

Dave...nice Courier shot!
For whatever reason, In Canada, the Ford Sedan Deliveries were not called "Couriers", in both the Meteor, as well as the Canadian built (Oakville Ontario) built Sedan Deliveries wore badges that said "Sedan Delivery" . On 57s, they were on the front fenders, you can see this emblem on the photo of the 57 Meteor Sedan Delivery. Very difficylt emblem to find in one piece. I used to own 2 57 SDs, and removed the Sedan Delivery emblems from another in a wrecking yard in the 70s, and of the 5 emblems, only one came off in a single piece. The other 5 were all broken off in the same location, near the middle. I believe the 56 SDs used the same emblem.
1959 Meteor 2 door sedan , 428 Cobra Jet 4 speed. Been drag racing Fords (mostly FEs) 47 years and counting.
Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.

Now that you pointed that out I notice the Sedan Delivery tags.
Courier tags were mounted the same, and pulling them off fenders often resulted in the same issue with breakage. I finally learned to do it the annoying way...go up into the fender and pop off the little retainer clip. Not a fun way to do it, but I was able to keep them from breaking.
Problem is...I put them some where 'safe" over 40 years ago...and now have no clue where that place was. I have moved multiple times since then...and I suspect they will never be seen by me again.  :angry5:

So seriously Carroll,  how much more is it for the Tro-Power over the single four barrel?    :003:

I would be agreeing with Steve...which is why my Courier will have a tri-power...as will eventually my '69 351 Windsor.
