I am going to install an electric fan before hitting the Hot Rod Power Tour in June and therefore need charging also at idle. Since I am in Germany and the car currently (again) in Charlotte, NC, I need to ensure I order something that I can install without any fabrication. I have a half day to do the swap and also mount the e-fan.

The kit costs $225. It is probably a lot of money for the bracket and hardware, but I have not much of a choice. If I had the Ford here in my garage I would make my own brackets.
Anyone used this kit? What do you think?
Thanx
Kai
Looks OK. The alternator is a later model Ford, looks like a 2G or 3G (can't tell for sure from the picture) and the bracket. The price is not too far out of line as it includes the alternator. Those run anywhere from $65 - $125 depending on source. Go for it.
Just FYI. I bought the kit and the installation was easy. Slightly shorter belt is needed. The adapter bracket left about 1/10" of play that may be needed to align the pulleys. Just fill the gap with two washers where needed and you are done. Drove 1,900mls after the installation and it just works fine.
Would you happen to have any pictures with the alternator kit upgrade?
