Hi
I'm in the process of renewing the door glass in my 57 Ranchero and I'm missing some of the machine screws that attach the regulator assembly to the door.
Does anyone know where I can find them? The best I can determine they are #12 but nowadays that seems to be an odd size.
Cheers John :canada:
You are correct..they are 12s and an odd size in today's world, especially if you are replacing screws with stainless as I did. What I did to resolve the problem was retap the threaded holes 1/4-28. If I recall, a redrill may not be required as it's pretty close to the 1/4-28 tap drill size already.

Fastenal should have them.
Ron.
My local Fastenal locked the front door. You are welcome to call-in your order for next day pickup from 8AM to 10AM. I haven't been back since.
I don't think these little screws are worth the shipping. Ten screws by USPS = +50 USD; FedEx = +100 USD; UPS +130 USD. These were packed in a 5X7 inch bubble envelope.
Perhaps a trip to a local salvage yard is in order. I believe several years used the same screws.
Are they like these?

Thanks anyway

Fastenal Canada lists them on their website. It may take a week to get them though. One thing that frustrates me about Fastenal is our local one has a minimum order. So if you want say 6, 3/8" fine
thread grade 8 nuts you have to buy a whole bag of 50. Take me 20 years to get through them all.
