Title: Rt. 66 National Museum
Post by: RICH MUISE on 2012-06-21 09:54
My wife and I went to the National Route 66 museum in Elk City, Oklahoma yesterday. I had been to the one in Clinton..one more exit east on I40...but we really enjoyed the one in Elk City. They have a dozen or so buildings, and only one of them is devoted to route 66, but that's ok..probably most folks interested in rt 66 stuff are also into antiques and the like. Any way..for anybody traveling down I40 I highly recommend the stop.

That hair curling machine is outright scary. remarkable what the fairer sex will do to please us. The Lincoln Capri was pretty sweet in what appears to be an unrestored condition automobile.

Yeah...and I can't believe I didn't get a pic of the back of that car. It had a continental kit and had the back fenders extended at least a foot so that the tailights were actually further back than the continental kit.
