was at the swap meet today found a 57 speedo assembly,nos door latch parts[the ones on the door post]and a nos ford lower ball joint

I would call that a successful trip.

x2. If you ever find a stash of driver's side latches...took me 4 years to find a nos one, and it was a Merc. latch I had to modify to fit.
