Not sure if anyone here can help but I guess the more people you ask the better your chances of getting an answer. I've got a mate down here in NZ with a 1961 Buick Le Sabre that needs a front finned aluminium brake drum. I imagine these things are like the proverbial rocking horse sh*t, but any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know if they are reproduced or do we have to find something genuine? Thanks for any help that may be forthcoming.
Cheers, Steve
I checked on eBay... there are quite a few used ones.
Lots of them...100 bucks for a good pair.
Raybestos makes new ones too....

those have been used in a wide variety of Buick cars up to 1965 I think. they are not 61 specific. If one was going for the appearence only, So Cal speed shop offers fake finned drum covers as well, that can be used over disc brake conversions.
Thanks for all the tips guys, I'll follow them up on my mates behalf.
Another note is there are 2 styles.. the popular 45 fin drum and the 90 fin drum.As mentioned... 45's are now being reproduced...not so the 90's.I believe your pals 61 ran 45's.... but not sure.I only bring this up in case your friend wants to be period correct for the 61.
