Title: Throttle return spring
Post by: Randyh on 2017-11-26 10:15
Looking for an original throttle return spring part number B7A-9737-E to purchase or borrow so that I can duplicate it.  The parts manual says these were used on '57 passenger cars with V8 and fordomatic transmission, it is described as .68"ODx3.60" long with 32 coils.  If you have one of these please let me know. Thanks,
Randy

The spring tension controls your transmission kickdown so it would be difficult to repro.

On the supercharged cars it is strickly the throttle return.  I am looking for an original so that I get all of the details right so that when I have a few made up they are concours correct.

I did contact Pat after my original post, he thinks a car he is about to bring home may have the spring, just have to wait and see.
