Title: 1957 Fairlane trunk light
Post by: chapingo17 on 2017-08-11 12:06
I wanted to install the original light for the trunk lid. I can buy one from eBay I just want to know the location of where the light is mounted. My car use to have one (I think) there's a switch by the side kick panel on the driver's side wiring goes all the way back to the trunk.

I just found out it wasn't an option in 57.

I was going to say. A trunk lite didn't come on my Fairlane 500 and it came with the rest of the bells and whistles.

One of my 57 fairlanes had one mounted under the deck lid so I saved it to install on the one I restored. I assumed it was a factory item since it was on the fairlane that had factory ac, power steering and power front seat. I have not checked for a manufacturer stamp, but will now.
