Title: E brake cable replacement
Post by: Ken 57Wagon on 2021-01-13 23:46
I need to replace the E brake cable at the handle. The guide pin doesn?t allow the shaft to turn enough to remove the old cut cable and install a new one. Does anyone know if that guide pin can be removed and reinstalled?  Is there another way to turn or remove the shaft to get access to the cable?

I believe you'll find that pin is threaded into the shaft. It should just unscrew to remove it.

The pin is driven into the shaft but can be worked out by twisting and pulling.  Drive it back in.

Thanks for the correction. Memory is fading I guess.
